In these times of COVID-19, weekend plans have gone from house parties to Netflix parties. Lockdowns across the world have resulted in way more stream time than before and there is enough content on our favorite streaming platforms to keep us thoroughly entertained.
We have seen new TV shows receive appreciation over the last few months, along with several ongoing shows that had previously flown under the radar. And with them, viewers have been gifted a spectacular bunch of new-age heroines. These women fight fire with fire, are all types of inspiring, and obviously know what underwear to wear. While you may not have been expecting that last one, it is something to think about in all our newfound time, so let’s dive in.
Here are the most badass women on TV right now and the underwear possibly keeping them comfortably rocking.
Eve Polastri from Killing Eve
Armed with a degree in criminal psychology, Eve Polastri from Killing Eve goes from being a deskbound MI5 security officer to a hardcore, assassin-hunting MI6 spy — and that’s just the first episode. The three seasons that follow take us on her journey to nab Villanelle, the world’s most fashionable assassin. This protagonist’s life is jam-packed with action, complicated relationships, and criminal politics. To stay comfortable through all of that, I can only imagine Eve chooses full briefs for great coverage and a snug crime-fighting fit.
Tokyo from Money Heist
Tokyo from Money Heist may be on the other side of the law but she brings fierce passion to a life of crime. Her bravery, skill, and intelligence are integral to the heists her gang pulls off, and even when she makes a mess of things, Tokyo knows how to clean up. This character grows out of insecurities to become a powerful combination of logic and heart. And in my opinion, she does it in a bikini cut with a soft waistband and simple lines made for agility.
Issa Dee from Insecure
Issa Dee from Insecure is an awkward woman trying to figure out her life in the last year of her 20s. She juggles her reality as an African-American woman, a difficult romantic relationship, career goals, and confusing friendships. This character is real and relatable on many levels, plus she raps to herself in a mirror on the regular. Personally, I believe what keeps her comfortable through life’s ups and downs are hipsters, complete with a butter-smooth band that fits cozily above the waistline and lends ample coverage.
Damini Roy from Four More Shots Please
Damini Rizvi Roy from Four More Shots Please is a firebrand journalist who is not afraid to report the truth, even in the face of threats and demotions. When she isn’t fighting the system in her career, she’s breaking other societal boundaries in her personal life. She also happens to be an absolute style icon, and I think she pulls it off with boy shorts that offer seamless coverage and a fabulous fit that work for any newsworthy outfit or situation.
Moira Rose from Schitt’s Creek
Moira Rose from Schitt’s Creek was born for the stage. So, even when her family loses their millions and are forced to live in a one-horse town with a comical name, she makes every day a grand performance. This star is always dressed in the fanciest, and I’d say she’s sporting long legs underneath those costumey outfits to keep her look elegant and camera-ready.
